Hello!
My name is Ryan Sidney. I was born, raised, and currently still live in Evansville, Indiana. I graduated from Bosse High School in 2005.In my free time, I’m usually at the gym, bowling, or spending time with my daughter. I’m big on self-improvement, good vibes, and staying active. Always down for a good conversation or a quick laugh.
My Story
After high school, I attended Vincennes University for a few years on a bowling scholarship. After bouncing around college for a few years, undecided with what I wanted to do with my life, I decided to work for the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office as a correctional officer to get my foot in the door working in law enforcement. I held that position for 5 years and during this time I had my first and only child. While working for the Sheriff’s Department, I gained full custody of my daughter and became a single father. Due to being a single father, and needing more work/family balance, I transferred to a treatment facility that helped with the transition of previous offenders to the civilian lifestyle. While working at the treatment facility, one of my mentors talked me into going back to college to get my degree. It was a necessary step to move up the ladder and ultimately accomplish my personal mission statement of helping families learn to grow and function together as one.
During this time while attending college, I transitioned to a new job where I was a Registered Behavioral Therapist working with children on the spectrum. While doing this, I got to work closely with children and families helping them understand each other’s needs and strengths. I believe working as a RBT was a huge milestone to me unlocking my passion for helping families. Once I earned my degree from the University of Southern Indiana in psychology, I found a career I truly felt like I could make a change as a Wraparound Facilitator.
